Dr Anton Valmana LMS, MSc (Addictive Behaviours) , MRCPsych
Dr. Anton Valmana, is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience working both in the NHS and the private sector. He currently practices as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS leading an active community psychiatry service based in Surrey. In addition he has been working in the private sector for the last 8 years, with leading psychiatric facilities such as the Priory group and has held the Medical Directorship of the exclusive addiction treatment facility, Life Works, for over five years. Dr Valmana offers expertise in a wide range of psychiatric conditions and he also specialises in addictive behaviours. The philosophy of his practice is that his patients’ needs always come first. He concentrates on trying to maximise outcomes by tailoring his interventions to the patients’ required needs and adhering at all times to evidence based treatment methods. He has a highly professional, personable and approachable manner. Dr Valmana obtained a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from the UPV University in Spain before moving to the UK to train in psychiatry at St George’s Hospital Medical School, London. He also has a Masters of Science degree (MSc) qualification in Addictive Behaviours from the University of London. He has been a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1997. Dr Valmana is involved in teaching and he is an experienced educator. He has published addiction and psychiatric research in peer reviewed journals. Dr Valmana is available for appointments in locations in Surrey and London.
Dr Rajeev Dhar MBBS, MRCPsych, Barrister at Law Dr Dhar is a senior Consultant Psychiatrist, a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrist and also a qualified barrister. He is recognised as an expert in the assessment and treatment of mental disorders and has extensive experience in the NHS and private sector, as a medicolegal expert and teacher in psychiatry. He qualified in medicine from the University of London and trained in Psychiatry at St George’s Hospital, London. He then specialised in Forensic Psychiatry and trained in Law. He currently works in the NHS as a Consultant Psychiatrist of general psychiatric services. He believes strongly in a patient centred multidisciplinary approach to his practice and has worked as a senior clinical lead in a variety of psychiatric settings. Dr Dhar is available only for evening appointments at consulting rooms in London. . |
